Notes
After a couple of days, Urashima starts to write reports and take notes! To see his notes, check the comments. He doesn't write in the notepad everyday and they aren't numbered by day. Some of the notes are general and can be about any day but they're in chronological order and you can figure out approximately when most of his notes were written.
All of his notes are written to someone he calls "aruji-san" or "Master." He's very fond of and respects his master very much from his writing but never mentions them by name. He also writes to "Hachisuka-niichan" and "Nagasone-niichan". Not sure exactly how this would translate with jamjar babblefish but assume enough gets across to know that they're his older brothers and he loves them very much. It doesn't sound like they get along, though, since he's always asking them to work together.

Aruji-san,
I’ve been here for three days and I haven’t seen anyone besides MIkazuki-san. I haven’t even seen Kamekichi. Is he home with you, Hachisuka-nichan, and Nagasone-niichan? Please take care of him! I’m not worried that Kamekichi isn’t here. The cold is no place for a turtle! And I think Kamekichi is okay if I’m okay. But I feel a little strange here. It’s really cold and I get hungry some times… I’m hungry every day if I don’t eat! Do you think that’s because Kamekichi isn’t here? It feels like something is missing.
Are Hachisuka-niichan and Nagasone-niichan getting along? I know they’re worried but tell them not to fight. If they work together, they can do anything… Like find me and Mikazuki-san and save all of my friends here!
When you find me, you’ll need a report right? I’ve never given a report before so I’m going to write everything I can to make it easier. Hachisuka-niichan and Nagasone-niichan are really good at giving reports. Do you think it's a Kotetsu trait? I hope it’s good enough for you, aruji-san!
( The rest of the letter is a pretty standard report. It reiterates how long he’s been here and who is present. He mentions writing a few notes on their profile pages. He also has some details about the setting. The weather is really, really cold… so cold, he’s had to change his attire to stay warm. The place looks like some place in the west but it’s not as nice as things back home. Everything looks older than back home but much newer than other times he can remember. Some of the notes are a little more whiney than formal… he complains about the food being the same and some people being mean to him.
One paragraph is dedicated to the dark space around the town. He mentions it's dark and if you walk through it long enough, you come out at the other side of the town. He emphasizes how much he does not like it and does not want to go back into it.
He mentions Miata and the rules of this really bad game they have to play. But he truly believes that the people here will be strong and overcome it because they’re good.
HIs first entry in general is pretty long and fairly detail with some notes added in to the side. He tried really hard on his first report! )

I've been making a lot of friends! That's good, right? It's important to have a lot of allies. Some of them aren't very strong but that's okay. I'm a Kotetsu so I'll do my best to project those that can't! Are you proud?
Western clothes is confusing. I don't know how some of the other swords can dress like this all of the time!
Something bad keeps happening, Aruji-san. People keep calling me a kotatsu! :(

Is the person in charge of this place a powerful sage like you? Is that why it's taking so long? That's okay. I can stay strong! I know you're working very hard! Hachisuka-niichan and Nagasone-niichan too!

That game is real. How awful!
The person here must be very strong. He's cast a spell on everyone. Time is very strange. Do you think the sage in charge is from the Retograding Army? I thought so but I don't feel that bad feeling I get when I fight their army.
It feels more like "that place." Do you think that dark place outside this place is the same as "that place?" I don't like it.
I'll be okay. I'm a Kotetsu! And I have a lot of friends here to keep me company. But I'm worried about the humans... this must be very hard for them, right? I'll do my best to make sure they're safe. I know waiting can be very hard, especially with a spell like this... but it's much easier when someone is with you. Nagasone-niichan knows what I mean. But this time, I'll make sure everyone comes with me when you find me.
Please hurry.
Mr. Cheshire came over today. I taught him how to play tag.

I tried to help everyone find clues but I didn't know where to look. I can't believe someone would really do that. The rules say we have to have a trial tomorrow. I can't sleep but I should try so I can help tomorrow.

( There's a pretty nice summary of what happened at the first trial here. It talks about the clues and some of the theories he heard. Overall, he expresses he has no idea who would do this and he can't figure out how to find the real killer on time. )
I want to catch the right person. No more innocent people should die.
But it's very sad. Whoever did this must have been hurting a lot this week. Were they afraid? Or really lonely? I don't know but I can understand.
Miss Sisuca said that our "sin" might not really be about us in our books. I haven't talked to her very much but she said that she is really a "virtue" called "charity." That makes sense. She's really nice.
I asked Miss Miata my "sin" was an opposite too. She said I'm really "chastity." What's that? Western religion is confusing.
I've been thinking about something a lot. I'll write about it later.
I'll try my best tomorrow.

Nagasone-niichan will be a year old too very soon. I hope I can be there to tell him happy anniversary.
Maybe I'll make a wish today to celebrate ☆

Humans are really strong. I've felt a lot of new feelings here and some of them made me feel like I could break. I don't think I'm the only one who has felt this and everyone else has been able to stay really strong. It's admirable. I want to be strong like the people I've met.
